From the 4 major carriers (Sprint, Verizon, TMobile and AT&T) stay away from smartphones/blackberries because they will keep your bill over $90 a month

If you get a regular phone with Sprint you can get the Messaging plan for $49.99 which includes 450 minutes and unlimited text and for $15 more you can add internet

If you get a regular phone with Tmobile flexpay you can get the talk & text plan for $39.99 which includes 500 minutes and unlimited text and for $10 more you can add internet

If you get a regular phone with Verizon you can get the Select plan for $59.99 which includes 450 minutes and unlimited texting or the Connect plan for $69.99 which includes 450 minutes, unlimited texting and unlimited internet.

If you get AT&T with a regular phones you can get the nationwide 450 minute plan for $39.99 with includes 450 minutes and 5000 night nd weekend. Add unlimited texting for only $20 and unlimited web for onlt $15.

If you have MetroPCS, US Cellular, Cricket or another local company then i suggest those before the ones i mentioned

I wouldn’t get tied into a contract as teenagers are always changing the way they talk on phones.
Therefore, I think you should try a sim only plan that doesn’t leave you tied into a contract. I think you can find loads here and can compare them at http://www.cheapsimonlydeals.co.uk
