hold the home button and the power button simultaneously until the ipod powers down and reboots itself. and this should make it reboot and see whether it still freezes., if it still freezes you many need to restore the phone…

connect your ipod to itunes and see if the itunes detects your iphone and attempt to restore it if all else fails,,
if it does not you can do the recovery method through Itunes:

Step one: Make sure that you have updated iTunes to the latest version.

If you have a PC, open the Start menu and click Apple Software Update. Click on the iTunes option and then on the Install button.

Step two: Turn off your iPhone or Ipod Touch.

Hold down the power button for several seconds until the Slide To Power Off option is displayed. Hold your finger on the red button and slide it to the right.
Step three: Hold down the Home button and connect your iPhone or iPod Touch to your PC or Mac.

Using your USB cable, attach the device to your computer while you are holding down the Home button and iTunes is running.
Step four: Wait until the iTunes logo appears on your iPhone or iPod Touch and let go of the Home button.

A message will appear on your computer saying that your iPhone or iPod Touch is now in recovery mode. Click on the OK button. Then click on the Restore button at the bottom of the iTunes window. This will restore all of the information you had on your device the last time you backed it up on your computer, meaning that you may lose some of your most recent emails, app downloads and photos, but at least your device will be working again.

let me know whether it worked for you,,,

    good luck

I figured it out you plug in your iPod go onto iTunes go to you iPod then apps you go to the app your having trouble with and uncheck it you then press apply. When it’s done syncing you go back the app and check it. Make sure the app is synced to your iPod before you do this
