How can I convert m4r iPhone ringtones to mp3?

October 28th, 2012 1 comment

I just got a Samsung Galaxy SIII to replace my iPhone and would like to convert my .m4r iPhone ringtones to .mp3 so I can use them on my new phone. I’ve found plenty of programs and instructions for converting from .mp3 to .m4r but not the other way. There has to be something out there. I can’t be the only person out there who started on the dark side but saw the light and switched to a superior smartphone.

You can try TuneClone. I am now using it. I like its high quality and speed very much. Hope you would like it.

How do I get my custom iPhone ringtones to work?

October 26th, 2012 1 comment

I created my own ringtones using the iTunes loophole (converting a clip of the song to the .m4r file) and the ringtones show up in iTunes under ringtones, they sync to my phone, they even play the clip when I selected them to be my ringtone. However, when I receive a phone call my iPhone reverts back to the default ringtone. If someone would please help me fix this issue, I would be grateful!

Why do my custom iPhone ringtones all show up as the same thing?

October 22nd, 2012 1 comment

I made three custom ringtones and added them to my iPhone. On iTunes, it says that it is three different ringtones and they play three different song clips. But when I go to the ringtones on my iPhone, there is three custom ones there but they all have the name of one of them, and all play the same clip instead of three different ones. I’m so confused!
I’m not looking for somewhere to get ringtones. I’m just trying to figure out why the ones I have aren’t showing up correctly.

can someone give me STEP BY STEP directions how u get ringtone for your iphone.
i know you go to itunes and thats it.
please help. and be discritive

Alright I’ve been searching the web how to add your own custom ringtones to the iphone. There is jailbreakme.com but u need version 1.1.1 on your iphone, and for those who already did the update to 1.1.2 ur sol. Well here is another way to add ringtones to your iphone with out a third party app. First u need to download audacity, http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ download version 1.2.6 next u need is current itune 7.5. You extract the file then open the program. After that is done you will go to file open find where ur .mp3’s are click on one of them and it will open it into the program after that u will select a 30 second section of song u want for your ringtone then you go to file click export selection as wave save onto ur desktop. then u will drag that wave file into your itunes libary. then u will right click on the ringtone u just made and convert to acc after that is done delete the wave file then u will right click on the acc file that you just made and select show in windows explorer or what ever the apple one is. then u will rename the last part from .m4a to .m4r example"roe.m4a" to "roe.m4r" then u will drag the file from the folder into the ringtones on your itunes. then all u do is sync the ringtones to your phone. ohh yeah btw delete the acc ringtone that u made bc it will no longer be there.
any question just PM me

How can I transfer my iPhone ringtones to the computer?

June 1st, 2012 5 comments

I have an iPhone, and recently got a Macbook for college. So I transferred all of my songs to my Mac, but I can’t seem to transfer the ringtones from my iPhone to my Mac. Help please?

since its a new mac that your iphone hasnt been previously synced with your information can be lost when syncing new information.
1: open itunes
2:in the top left corner of your screen click on the itunes drop down menu and select the preferences option.
3: this will open the preferences window
4:select the device tab and make sure there IS a check in the box next to disable automatic syncing for iphones and ipods
5: this will make sure your content is safe close preferences window
6. then i would do a backup so incase you lose data you can restore the iphone to its current state. to do this control + click on your iphone on the left side of itunes under the devices category
7: select backup, follow the on screen prompts.
8 and now to answer your question control + click on your iphone on the left side of itunes under the devices category and select transfer purchases.
9: this process transfers any content purchased from the itunes or app stores from the iphone to the computer.
and there you go
and if that doesnt work contact apple 1-800-my iphone

I just found out about a program called "iToner" it says it lets you put custom ringtones on the iPhone. Has anyone tried it? Is it safe? Illegal? I don’t have a warrenty so i wont have to worry about that.

It’s safe… and legal, if you use your own music!

I’ve used http://iphone.nullriver.com/beta/ (free)
