What type of sound file does my phone take?

November 5th, 2012 1 comment

I have a ringtone on my computer that i want to send to a friend, but my phone ,which is a T401g, can only send Sound files, which means i can’t send music files. I converted it to a amr which allows me to send it, but the quality is bad. What I am trying to figure out is how I convert it so when i put it on my phone from my memory cad, it goes into the sound folder.

You can convert that sound file into MP3 using Any Audio Converter. There you can convert all the audio file into MP3 with good quality. I am using it every time I convert something from my phone so that it will be detected by audio players. here is the download link for you and please visit my resource http://driverofsoundcard.com/news/

How to create custom ringtones for iphone 3GS?

November 3rd, 2012 2 comments

I tried the same procedure that’s used for iphone 3g. encode file to AAC, rename to .m4r. And it’s just 11 seconds. The ringtone even shows up in my iphone ringtones section in itunes! But after syncing it, it just does not show up on my phone. There’s no custom ringtone section created. It’s frustrating! Is there a different procedure for 3GS?

How do I get my custom iPhone ringtones to work?

October 26th, 2012 1 comment

I created my own ringtones using the iTunes loophole (converting a clip of the song to the .m4r file) and the ringtones show up in iTunes under ringtones, they sync to my phone, they even play the clip when I selected them to be my ringtone. However, when I receive a phone call my iPhone reverts back to the default ringtone. If someone would please help me fix this issue, I would be grateful!

Is Your Ringtone Appropriate For Your Lifestyle

October 20th, 2012 No comments

With the proliferation of all sorts of ringtones on the market today, many of us are tempted to do something wild and crazy with the way our phones let us know that someone is calling. While it is true that having a distinctive jingle to your phone can be a lot of fun, you do need to work within a reasonable perimeter. Make sure you walk that fine line between something that is fun, quirky, and an indication of your personality, and something that makes people look at you as if you just sprouted an extra head. Here are a few guidelines to help you avoid drawing attention to yourself for all the wrong reasons.

Most of have an image of ourselves that we like to project. Our image tells others a little about ourselves, our value systems, our preferences, and where our priorities lie. Often, we will choose to dress a certain way in order to promote that image to others. When it comes to your ringtone, think of that as one more accessory in your wardrobe.

It may be a simple thing, but stop and consider this example. You are involved in a serious conversation with a business colleague. You have just made a critical statement to your colleague, one that you hope he or she will consider with all due respect. Just at that instant, your cell phone begins to chirp the theme song from the old Mickey Mouse show. Sure that is quirky and it is fun, but did it really do anything to bolster your image as a serious businessperson?

By the same token, there is no need to be serious if you mainly use your cell phone outside work hours. If you truly fun loving, don’t be stuck with a ringtone that is so ordinary that even the dog yawns when your cell rings. Do some digging and find a tune that will bring a smile to your lips. You can choose from all sorts of fun ringtones these days, everything from music to animal sounds to cartoon characters. Download a few that you can shuffle around from time to time, just to keep those around you guessing about what your phone will sound like today.

Perhaps you are one of those people who are somewhere in the middle. You have your serious side and like to keep things businesslike during working hours. At the same time, you like to have a little fun after the work is done. That is no problem. You can easily find music that provides the ambiance of someone who is focused and still playful at the same time. Perhaps something with chimes would be a good ring for you. There are also some fun piano ringtones out there as well that might be the right mix of conservative and whimsical for you.

With so many ringtones around today, have a little fun checking out different ones until you find a few that seem to be just the right fit for your lifestyle. Be sure to check with your service provider on how to download and install the ringtones. It won’t take long and chances are you will be happy the next time your phone rings.

can someone give me STEP BY STEP directions how u get ringtone for your iphone.
i know you go to itunes and thats it.
please help. and be discritive

Alright I’ve been searching the web how to add your own custom ringtones to the iphone. There is jailbreakme.com but u need version 1.1.1 on your iphone, and for those who already did the update to 1.1.2 ur sol. Well here is another way to add ringtones to your iphone with out a third party app. First u need to download audacity, http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ download version 1.2.6 next u need is current itune 7.5. You extract the file then open the program. After that is done you will go to file open find where ur .mp3’s are click on one of them and it will open it into the program after that u will select a 30 second section of song u want for your ringtone then you go to file click export selection as wave save onto ur desktop. then u will drag that wave file into your itunes libary. then u will right click on the ringtone u just made and convert to acc after that is done delete the wave file then u will right click on the acc file that you just made and select show in windows explorer or what ever the apple one is. then u will rename the last part from .m4a to .m4r example"roe.m4a" to "roe.m4r" then u will drag the file from the folder into the ringtones on your itunes. then all u do is sync the ringtones to your phone. ohh yeah btw delete the acc ringtone that u made bc it will no longer be there.
any question just PM me

Setting Your Own Style When You Download Ringtones

June 2nd, 2012 No comments

Today’s cell phones are made to allow each of us to be individualists. We can pick a number of styles and have the phones configured to do all sorts of things, from capturing digital images to accessing our email. And when it comes to selecting a ringtone, the choices are limited only by our imaginations. If you have in mind to download ringtones, here are a few ideas to help you select ones that fit your personality.

One of the first things to do consider before you begin to download ringtones is your personality. Are you a serious minded individual? Perhaps a blast of serious music, such as an overture from a classical piece, would make a good ringtone for you. Maybe you are a party animal. If that is the case, a ringtone that has a strong dance beat might be just the ticket. For someone who is very mellow and laid back, something akin to a folk tune set to guitar might make the perfect ring tone for you. If you are no-nonsense, business oriented type of individual, then you can probably skip the download altogether. Chances are one of the basic ringtones that come with most cell phones will work just fine for you.

Next, think about your interests. Do you enjoy classic rock and roll? There are ringtone out there that capture snipped of everything from Janis Joplin to Bad Company. Can you imagine having your phone sound a yell from Joplin when someone is calling?

Perhaps you get a kick out of disco. There are many ringtones that carry the disco beat, as well as snippets from hits by major artists of the era. Even if you are into contemporary music, you can often find ringtones that will demonstrate your love and devotion to a current performer.

When you download ringtones, don’t forget that the sounds of nature are available as well. If the idea of a waterfall cascading or thunder rolling each time you get a call is appealing, rest assured those ringtones are out there and waiting for you to grab them.

Perhaps you are the dramatic type, loving anything to do with the stage. Ringtones that feature Broadway tunes can be found through a number of different vendors. You might be surprised how easy it is to locate and download ringtones that feature material from both current and past Broadway hits. From the works of Moss Hart all the way through today’s big plays, the ringtones are available.

When it comes to deciding to download ringtones, there are so many choices out there that you may feel somewhat overwhelmed. Don’t let the sheer volume of available tones get to you. Narrow down the list by looking to your own personality, likes, and lifestyle. That should make the list of potential choices much more workable. And, if a year from now, you see the world much differently, there is no need to be stuck with a ringtone that no longer fits. Simply go out and find a few more that go with your newfound philosophy.

How to Make an Iphone Ringtone

May 21st, 2012 7 comments

Ever wanted to know how to make an iPhone ringtone?

Well, there is a neat way and the method described below is primarily for Windows, as if you have a Mac, you can use GarageBand to create a custom ringtone.

So, this is how you do it. Open up your iTunes software and search for the track you have decided will do nicely as your new ringtone. Remember it has to be a DRM-free track; one without digital locks (known as Digital Rights Management technology). Okay, so you’ve selected the appropriate track, the right-click on it and further click on the option which says Get Info tab.

Next you get the chance to select the part of the song you want as a ringtone by pressing the Options tab and finding the Start Time and End time choices. Ensure your portion is less than 30-seconds in length, then tick both of the boxes and click Okay when finished.

Okay so far? Next step is to right click on the song you’ve just hacked about and select the Convert Selection to AAC option. As soon as that’s finished, and the song has fully converted to the new format, just quickly check that it is actually less then 30 seconds long.

Now move to your iTunes music folder and search for your song, which will designated by a Q icon. You have to be able to see .M4A file extension (make sure your haven’t got the Hide Extensions box ticked, otherwise you won’t be able to see it).

Then copy the file to your desktop. Rename it so that you can recognise it as your newly created ringtone. There must be no symbols (hyphens etc) in the file name, otherwise it won’t work.

Okay, done all that? Back you go to iTunes, select File, Add File to Library and then browse for the file as you did above. It should be there and if so, press Open and it will then be automatically placed in the right part of your library.

The final step is syncing your iPhone with iTunes. Once complete, your new ringtone should be on your iPhone. If it hasn’t worked, just ensure that your iPhone and iTunes sync set-ups are configured properly to accept the ringtone.

Pretty nifty hey? And you can go about loading hundreds of ringtones all at no expense. So go and get cracking.

Brightening Up Your Life With A New Ringtone

May 21st, 2012 No comments

This is the time of year that people begin to think of ways to dress up the old and make it new again. One of the ways you may choose to add some spice to your life life is by adding a new ringtone or two to the options saved on your cell phone.

Of course, just about every service provider does make sure your cell phone is equipped with six or seven generic style rings. If you are more of a purist, you may be able to add some zing in your day by simply changing your current cell phone jingle for another one that came with the phone. For the more adventurous types, here are some suggestions of ways to come up with something new and different to hear when someone gives you a call.

One of the first place to look for a new ringtone is through your service provider. Often, they can provide you with instructions on how to access a cache of different ringtones, pick some that you like, and download them to your phone quickly. Some of the tones may be free, while others may have a charge associated with the download, so make sure you know which is which before you get too attached to any one of the ringtones.

If your service provider doesn’t have anything on hand that you like, then take to the Internet. These days, there are all sorts of ringtones available at many sites. Some of these sites will require that you join a club and pay a fee, but these often provide you with unlimited downloads. Before you whip out your credit card, make sure the site has ringtones that are compatible with your service and your phone type. Having service through Sprint and holding membership in a ringtone club that caters to Cingular customers will not do anything for you.

In addition to making sure the files themselves are compatible with your service and equipment, you may want to sample the type of ringtones that are offered at the site. You may be looking for a ringtone that is simply a section of your favorite hard rock song from your teenage years. That is great, unless the site you have joined offers you the very best in classical music ringtones. Again, don’t pay for something you don’t really want. Do some careful checking before you buy anything.

Don’t be surprised if you find exactly what you’ve been looking for on one of the many free ringtone sites that have sprung up the last few years. Some of them do a great job at creating ringtones from the sound bytes of music that is now in the public domain, or utilizing sound bytes that are so close to your favorite songs that you can barely tell the difference. You can spend hours perusing these free ringtones, as they cover just about every music type you can imagine.

A new ringtone is a nice way to start fresh. Take a look around; the right one may be just a few clicks away.
